Unlock PDF: common questions

Can I unlock a PDF without the password?
Only if it opens without one and just blocks printing or copying. For a PDF that asks for a password to open, you need that password.
Will the unlocked PDF look the same?
Yes. Only the password and limits are removed; the pages stay exactly as they were.
Is my file uploaded?
Yes, this tool needs our converter. Your file (up to 20 MB) is sent over an encrypted connection, converted, and deleted as soon as you get the result. We never keep or look at it.
